“I need to buy eggs for breakfast.”
I woke up this morning with that thought in my mind, and this question:
If I couldn’t shop for eggs at a grocery store, where would I get them?
I offer you this challenge:
Try not to buy any 🥚 eggs 🥚 or 🍎 fruit 🍏 from a grocery store for the next 30 days.
Challenge yourself to only buy that type of food from local suppliers.
How do you find them? Where are they? Farmers markets, locally owned butcheries, services like Farmish and Homegrown… these come to mind immediately.
I’m going to be doing this challenge myself for the next month, and learning:
- how much money it costs to buy all my food locally
- what products I can’t find locally at all
