Homegrown’s mission is to build food-secure, waste-free, self-sufficient communities.
Our civilization needs a lot more structure for growing our own food.
Homegrown is a 501(c)(3) public charity, on a mission to create communal food sovereignty: a local food system, producing no waste, that communities own and operate themselves.
We are building systems & networks that empower people everywhere—especially high-risk communities—to grow and raise their own healthy, fresh food, and recycle organic waste right back into agricultural systems. This looks like:
🪜 Harvesting existing tree fruits, nuts, and other crops
🥤 Juicing, preserving, milling, curing, and otherwise processing as needed
📦 Distributing them locally & online
🌳 Planting new edible trees, shrubs, and other species
❤️🩹 Helping maintain & care for these plants
♻️ Composting leaves, grass clippings, kitchen scraps, and other organic waste
& more!
With more resources at our disposal, home growers can become our country’s primary source of healthy nutrition and help revive a culture of victory gardens, community homesteading, and basic needs met for all.
